UE5 Niagara-Houdini pointcloud asset swap at runtime

Hi,

I try instantly swap various Houdini pregenerated pointclouds through Niagara at runtime in UE5.

At first, I set up a Niagara animation populated with an .hbjson Houdini built pointcloud imported through UE5 Houdini/Niagara plugin. It imports and plays as it should. Setting particles’ color at runtime (through Niagara linear color user variable) also works fine.

My problem is when I try to swap (in UE5) an .hbjson pointcloud file by another one through an additional object user variable, at runtime. All my attempts fail and I’m struggling getting this feature to work as I would expect.

I attached a test UE5.44 project (impossible to make it lighter - sorry) : Keystroke “A” loads a red cube pointcloud, whereas “B” keystroke should swap to a green sphere, but in reality only color changes, not shape!
