Sarbacane
Hello! first post here! Say I have combed and styled a head full of hair. Now I add gravity and make my character walk. I would like my hair to keep its styling as much as it can while still being affected by the movement and gravity happening. How do you go about that? I'm having a hard time creating hair for my character! thank you for any help you can provide! Marc-Andr
Sarbacane
Also, it seems my hairs are stretching even though I have my "linear spring constant" set to 1000! Can't there be a percentage where 100 is not streatching at all and 0 being stretch forever?

Hi, are you using the spring SOP for your hair? I would suggest trying out a DOP wire sim in which you can get pretty nice control over the way the hair behaves. I've attached a pretty simple example file that animates the original skin object and the kangular attribute (the angular spring constant). This is based on Alvin Yap's wet/dry fur simulation class http://www.sidefx.com/exchange/info.php?fi...p;versionid=415 . Hope that helps a bit. Depending on your setup it shouldn't be too difficult to move it over to dops. hair.hip
