paleajed
I have a line copied to a sloping grid (stalks on a field) with a wire solver with glue constraints for the stalks. Ball rolling down the slope. First of all this is slow in the viewport. Also this is slow when simulating (a wire not being that complex...). And then there is this behaviour in which all stalks move slightly when the ball collides with them. I suppose something is wrong in my setup... If anyone would like to go over it it would be wildly appreciated... akker2.hipnc
paleajed
Problems solved: The slowness was mostly due to the guide geometry of the conbstraints, slowing down the OpenGL view (strange though, just a few balls with lines...) Switched them off. The strange behaviour in the wire overall motion was due to the wires trying to point "straigth up". Tried to fix this by adding normals (point sop) and up vectors. This did not work. Workaround: splitting the wire glue constraint into a wire pin and angular constraint, making it possible to set rotation, while keeping position at the pointroots.
