I managed to get work my custom mentalray shader in houdini(9.1).Everything works except all mentalray color parameters was translated to color(in the OTL file by mids.exe), which are not texturable parameters.If i change them in houdini (by type properties) from color to file i got an error message in rendertime :"incorrect arg type "color" in function call "myShader" or missing comma". Maybe this comes for the .mi declaration (it is loaded by ray3rc) which says that parameter is a "color". Or am I wrong? Is there an easier way to make the custom shader parameters texturable with a mentalray shader?(even with the base shaders??) thanks in advance Ashraf Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
