debug
Hello there- I've just started getting into this Houdini business after using maya for about the last 5 years however my preferred renderer is 3Delight of late and I've been trying to figure out how to get it working within Houdini. According to your guide (which is great thanks) I set my environmental variable HOUDINI_DEFAULT_RIB_RENDERER to '3Delight7.0' in the terminal with the command 'export HOUDINI_DEFAULT_RIB_RENDERER='3Delight7.0'. Using the shader library provided for houdini by 3Delight i imported that and setup a quick test scene and configured the rendering stuff. I setup a renderman renderer in houdini and changed the command in the out node setup 'rib1' to 3Delight and renderdl as the command but everytime i go to render i get a message saying: Could not complete the rendering job: Error: Command Exit Code: 127 Any ideas what i've done wrong? Thanks
Alanw
Make sure 3Delight is in your $PATH. Also, I would probably set your env var's in /Users/yourname/.profile or .bashrc (if you use bash)
