graham Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Unfortunately there really isn't an easy way to make the setup of the proxy geometry automatic. This part really must be configured by the user on a per model type thing because of the unique shapes of each model. I can't remember exactly what we did for the video and I don't have the files at the moment but I think the nature of that model, being fairly skinny and lean, was just a coincidence that the default scale for all the bounding controls just happened to mostly encompass the majority of the geometry. Another thing that isn't obvious is that if you are using bones to deform (added after the video and is also now the default deform type), the scales of the bounding geometry controls are actually used as the scales for the bone capture region pills, in an attempt to reuse the information and give you a somewhat nicer initial bone capture in the deform rig.
