Macha
I'm doing some research for something at work: Can anybody point me to sand-simulations done with Houdini? Flowing sand, piling up, film clips, example files, research papers, anything relating to sand sims done with (preferably) or without Houdini. I want to understand Houdini capabilities regarding that particular aspect. If I can convince the boss that it can handle granular material better than Maya or XSI we might use it. Macha
Of course, your boss should "choose" the tool that you have the most capable artists for. We're a small developer. I'm sure we can cobble something together in XSI. I'm also sure that I could eventually get something in Houdini but I have not much time to play around with it after work, so I thought if there was a proof-of-concept or even tool out there already...
