Qualified candidates will have an M.F.A., or undergraduate degree with extensive recognized industry experience. A strong portfolio and industry experience is important. College-level teaching experience is preferred but not required. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate, by providing a video reel/CD or website, an expert proficiency in applications that utilize procedural modeling concepts and animation techniques, specifically Houdini. The Professor will communicate the advantages and application of procedural modeling, animation, particle f/x, scripting and expressions in a Unix/Linux environment as they relate to students of diverse experiences with a focus in the various visual f/x industries.
