JoshJ
I was trying out some deformation with the sop solver... have a look at the attached hip file. I'd like to have a few things happen: 1. the deforming spheres return after deformation to something similar to their original shape 2. the area of the individual polygons that are deformed should be able to be smoothed out a little bit 3. the deformed sphere attempts to maintain its volume, but in a way that can be adjusted to be stronger or weaker 3. possibly have the entire sphere move over a little bit in the process, being pushed by the other sphere I tried including a pop solver and shape match with a multi solver, but never quite got it worked out; it often would spin uncontrollably or react a bit strangely. It might be possible with the cloth solver now with the denting and elastic objects, but that solution seems a little too slow yet, and I think its logically doable with a combo of sop and pop solver, or something else that is faster and more controllable. Any proposed solutions would be welcome though, as I'm mainly just trying to broaden my knowledge and control of dops. Thanks! doptest3.hipnc
