RickW
I'm having an odd problem with Houdini when using Gnome2 as my DE. If I try to close the houdini session without saving first, the "confirm save" dialog box comes up. However it is not raised over the houdini interface and I can't find a way to access it. In the end I have to kill the houdini process. Otherwise it just hangs. I'm guessing is a bug? Anybody use Gnome2 with Houdini? Any workarounds suggested? Thanks, /Rick
old school
It is a gnome windows issue. No bug with Houdini. You have to hunt through the gnome preferences and look for the panel that offers controls over window behaviour. I am not at my linux workstation right now to give you exact instructions but it is in there. There are controls over border picking and inside of a window picking wether to pass click, raise and pass click, etc.. For the border, you want to set it to raise and pass click. For the window contents, just set to raise.
RickW
Ahh so it does work with metacity in Gnome2 uhh! The only solution I've come up with (this morning) was to toss metacity and go back to sawfish. I personally prefer metacity though. Ok, I try out your suggested this afternoon! (keep fingers crossed) Thanks! /Rick
