mattd
A friend of mine was told while at siggraph (by someone from Chaosgroup) that there would be some level of support in houdini to export proxy files to vray for rendering, or even a possibility for vray to work within houdini. Can anyone confirm or deny, or am I in NDA land? MD
Wolfwood
A friend of mine was told while at siggraph (by someone from Chaosgroup) that there would be some level of support in houdini to export proxy files to vray for rendering, or even a possibility for vray to work within houdini. Can anyone confirm or deny, or am I in NDA land? MD They made mention of this during the V-Ray Users Group meeting. All that was said was V-Ray supports the Houdini .geo format so you could do your particle sims in Houdini and then render them from Maya using V-Ray. Basically their proxy loader will (or does) support the geo format. They said nothing of .bgeos. They also said nothing of Houdini export capabilities. Granted this was said along with 100s of other features it what was more or less a marketing pitch. So take with a grain of salt.
