Weird deformations when using Break and Shatter..help

I have tried many things to rid these hideous ambiguities in the topology of my objects when I use the shatter and break tool. It almost never fails for me to get these weird abnormalities and its starting to become irritating. I have tried most all of the settings to remove those jagged deformations but nothing seems to rid them. I have attached a picture for everyone to see. Please, if anyone has experience with this or knows how to resolve it please reply.

Thank you,

Hi there! I've encountered those problems a lot also. So i have a few suggestions for you:

1-Don't use the Shatter unless you want to do something like 2 cuts. It really freaks out geometry, and if you're using more complex geometry, it's a nightmare. Also, i never got to have the Shatter create me good inside surfaces.

2-So, use multiple Break nodes in cascade to get the effect you want. Keep the cuts as simple as possible, turn on "Visible cuts" only for testing and then turn it off, and make sure the break planes are intersecting and not parallel if too close each to another, in that case they will overlap and give you some errors in the geometry. With single breaks you also have the possibility to control the planes individually in a simple way: so, if you have problems (like the one in the img you posted), move and rotate the cutting planes until you get clean geo.

Let me know if that helped.
