vfxkid Posted September 10, 2009 Share Posted September 10, 2009 hi I am pretty new to this topic , i was reading up on delayed load and setup a simple file. I archived a high poly object which is static and pointed it to a delay load shader. Now on my low poly object which just has some simple translation on it, on the geo level (render/geometry/procedural shader) is where i applied the shader. The good thing is that it is loading the high poly object onto the low poly geo but there is no movement in it. File is static like my archived file. I was wandering is there a way that you could swap the low poly for the high poly object and keep the translation information of the low poly? Am i missing a step or applying the shader in the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated. One last question just out of curiosity can Level of detail also be achieved by delayed load. thank you.
