Export FBX | Cannot export frame of vertex cache

Gettting this odd error message when I try to export basically a simple Pop sim: "Could not evaluate a frame of vertex cache array." I assume FBX exporter is trying to build a vertex cache and failing but at a loss for ideas on how to help it out?
