I think that script is a little old, so it may not be working properly in the

current version. I'd suggest you create a very basic occlusion shader using the occlusion VOP. If you find it renders too slow you can try using point clouds to

speed it up. I have some example of how to do this on the houdini exchange.

just do a search for "point cloud presentation" and you should be able to find it.

take a look on the exchange at the sidefx site, there is a domelight by Simon thats good for what you want - a quick decent lighting setup.

Actually I think AndrewVK did that one :) I can't lay claim to all of exchange...

It's very good, excellent tips in there about instancing lights, definetely worth a look see.
