  1. oh ok. thanks for clearing that up. should i use the back wall even though i don't see the reflection?
  2. Thank you this looks great!! exactly what i wanted. Im surprised it was all done in the Matte Shadow. I don't understand what the back wall is for, i can't see the difference in the renderer when i turn the display on and off. But thank you for helping me. i thought i would never find out how to do this in houdini.
  3. Thanks this help me figure out how to render out my passes, but how to i get the reflection of the shadow and the background's ground into my sphere?
  4. Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how to render this reflective sphere with the background plate. i want to be able to see a shadow on the plane and the ground of the background image. i also i would like to see the reflection of the shadow and the ground in the reflection of the sphere. 5. Hey guys I've been trying to understand houdini and its very complicated. I want to learn it and understand it but like i said its very complicated.. thank you all for the great resources. Where do you guys think i should start?
  6. Hey guys, I'm new to odforce and i heard that you guys are a great community for houdini users. So with that being said, can you guys help me find some good tutorials to learn houdini? i have been messing with maya for a couple of months now and i like it but i want to create dynamics and particle simulations using houdini.. I've seen what it can do and i heard of its power and i would like to really learn this program and be able to use it very well.. i would probably mainly use it for creating visual effects like fire, water, destruction, smoke, explosions, maybe crowd simulations and ect. thanks guys
