Thank you this looks great!! exactly what i wanted. Im surprised it was all done in the Matte Shadow. I don't understand what the back wall is for, i can't see the difference in the renderer when i turn the display on and off. But thank you for helping me. i thought i would never find out how to do this in houdini.

Thanks this help me figure out how to render out my passes, but how to i get the reflection of the shadow and the background's ground into my sphere?

Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how to render this reflective sphere with the background plate. i want to be able to see a shadow on the plane and the ground of the background image. i also i would like to see the reflection of the shadow and the ground in the reflection of the sphere. Hey guys, I'm new to odforce and i heard that you guys are a great community for houdini users. So with that being said, can you guys help me find some good tutorials to learn houdini? i have been messing with maya for a couple of months now and i like it but i want to create dynamics and particle simulations using houdini.. I've seen what it can do and i heard of its power and i would like to really learn this program and be able to use it very well.. i would probably mainly use it for creating visual effects like fire, water, destruction, smoke, explosions, maybe crowd simulations and ect. thanks guys
