Adding variation to the animation of RBD chunks.

hi,

I have a couople of chunks. They get some velocities. And then they are dropped into a DOPs simulation. Instead of messing with my inital velocity. I would like to add some variation to my DOP simulation. So my chunks do not just rise but also move to along the X and the Z axis. I tried Wind and Uniform fields with noise attached to them... but it seems like this kills my inital velocity on tthe Y axis. any ideas?
