oldiesgoodies
Hi I am not sure how this is supposed to work but it felt little abnormal, so I thought I should to figure out how this is supposed to work. I have created a group that randomly selects some primitives. it is all good I have some 13 selections. I then feed into a polyextrude. I select the random selection group and extrude. it seems to work fine. However when I middle click on the polyextrude node it says "0 primitives in randgroup". Am I not supposed to see the number of primitives in the "randgroup" properly? It does extrude only those in the group when I add the group in the xtrude node but that does not change the displaying the proper numbering. Is grouping supposed to be destroyed in the next node like this? It looks like a display bug to me since it does extrude only those in the group. sam.h
polyExtrude will destroy the group, but can generate front/side/back groups instead, which is better anyway ...
oldiesgoodies
sam.h Thanks for the reply. That clears out the case for me. I have ben using the groups from the extrude.
