domino
Hello, I want to know if it is possible to vary the stiffness in different areas of a cloth sim. ie. Long jacket where collar is stiffer and won't react to wind as easily as the bottom of the jacket. Is there something that would work similar to the paint tools in fur? Thanks in advance! mightcouldb1
You might find the crumpling and tearing masterclass on the SideFX site very useful.
drGonzo
Have a look at the attached file. I painted bendstiffness on the sheet. the set up is the same for all attributes mentioned in the clothobject docs... k|m Edited May 27, 2010 by drGonzo
drGonzo
IMO Houdini's cloth solver is very versatile, albeit a bit slow, but it is in need of some more resources (like the excellent crumpling masterclass). cloth_initial_v14.hip Edited May 27, 2010 by drGonzo
