MirrorSword
Hi I'm Currently trying to teach myself some basics of Houdini Bones and IK. I'm having a problem where I have a bone chain and I want the first bone to be immobile. I can't find a way to limit the rotation of the root bone. I tried setting it so that the second bone in the chain was the root bone but then the second bone rotates freely and I want to limit its rotation. I know you can set the angle limit on the bone but that only seems to control the rotation of the bone after it. here is my scene file. anim
you need to set solver to IK with Constraints in InverseKin CHOP to tell houdini to use limit and dampening parameters on bones but you'll disable up vector control that way
