hmeister69
When i do a test render in 3Delight "rednerdl -test", the follow error comes up: MacPro:Resources cm2$ renderdl -test 3DL ERROR D2003: cannot open display driver '/Library/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/10.0.554/Resources/ri_shaders/d_houdini.so' (system error: dlopen(/Library/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/10.0.554/Resources/ri_shaders/d_houdini.so, 1): no suitable image found. Did find: /Library/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/10.0.554/Resources/ri_shaders/d_houdini.so: mach-o, but wrong architecture) MacPro:Resources cm2$ When i make the proto_install: "Would you like to test the driver now? [y] " "-y" "Would you like to test the driver now? [y] y The following render should appear in mplay. render: Command not found. Installed successfully" Writing rip files are ok, but the display do not work. Can somebody help me?
edward
Well, the command not found error makes sense since you don't have prman's "render" but 3delight's "renderdl" instead. As for the dlopen() error, it looks to me that the 3delight you're running might be 32-bit instead of 64-bit? Just guessing here.
hmeister69
it's the intel installer. where can i find the info about 32 or 64 bit? houdini.env HOUDINI_DEFAULT_RIB_RENDERER="3Delight9.0" renderman.ini # License server # Uncomment the line below once you have a license server running on the # computer. It may be necessary to replace 'localhost' with the output of # 'licutils hostname'. On most setups, it is possible to skip this configuration # entirely. #/3delight/licserver MacPro.local /display/dso/houdini /Library/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/10.0.554/Resources/ri_shaders/d_houdini.so /displaytype/framebuffer houdini
edward
Well, I don't use 3delight so I don't really know. Anyhow, I just googled 3delight and went to their download page. They specifically state that their Mac OSX Intel build is 32-bit only. Since Houdini is 64-bit only on OSX, you're out of luck ... well, maybe their Universal install has a 64-bit build? This is really the wrong place to ask.
