bhaveshpandey
hey! i've only recently started dabbling with microsolvers in DOPS and have skimmed through the documentation but felt it's pretty scarce..(i do hope it gets updated) i'm trying out a Fracture sim and would like to control how the impact data is transferred within Object in DOPS.. for instance if i have a ball hitting the center of a wall, I would like to control how the Impact Impulse travels across the object thus controlling the regions for fractures.. i have thought of one approach..but i'm not sure if its any good.. first i defined a lookup field in sops using a volume which has a radial gradient from the center....which i import in DOPS using a SOP Scalar Field.. i intended to use something like a Gas Lookup which could lookup the field defined in SOPS based upon the Impact position data and thus scale the Impacts/Impulse data across the field..or something like it.. is this right approach for this kind of effect?? i also figured that I could try to modify the fields using a SOP Solver where i could then manipulate the volumes in Volume VOP..but since i wanted to explore DOPS in further detail ,i thought of throwing microsolvers into the mix.. any suggestions/tricks etc would be great cheers..
