sprites - shader update in viewport

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am new in Houdini and that is my first post ever about this software  . I am trying to do a shader for the particles that makes me possible to get feedback on the viewport. I have set up a new operator type (Operator Style: SHOP Type) and (Network Type: GLSL Shader). The new operator has got GLSL and a Vex code to show different material states depending of one attribute (like the life). It works just fine in render but I can see only the first material state in the viewport.

Is funny because it updates in real-time the material in the viewport if I specifically move the slider in the parameter interface but not if I put a simple $FF or $T in there and hit play.

I feel like missing something very basic... (the fix could be "activate the flag up there" )

or could be Houdini doesnt update viewports that way? I could not find more information by my own... help please!
