DeehrBYU
Hi everyone, I am rendering out an effect I made using pyroFX. I can view the image sequence fine in Mplay and even maya's Fcheck. However, the flame does not have an alpha channel apprarently, so when I bring it into after effects there is nothing there. The same result happens with Photoshop. There is a secondary effect (lightning) in the render that does show up. The flame does not. I have tried different settings (8 bit, 16 bit float and integer, no compression/LZW compression) and I can't find a solution. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. DeehrBYU
Hey Joel What format are u rendering to? if you zip the file and attach it, it could help us spot the problem. UPDATE: Thanks, aracid. I attached the file below. Something that might help pinpoint the problem better.. I am using the "artistic" shading model, but I tried a quick render with the physical, and there was a noticeable alpha with it that shows in mplay. So it must have something to do with my artistic model being messed up, I am thinking. PS The pyroFX do not show up until about frame 304. Very much a WIP still, but I am excited to get a step closer. Thanks again.
