anakin78z
Hiya folks, I took a model that I originally worked on for the apprentice challenge, and decided to finish him, while learning more about modeling and texturing. Here's what I've done so far. Added the hat, some hair, textured the sirt (tried the pelt sop on that one... just because I could ). The bag is what I added today. Now my question is, what's the best way to place that sucker? Right now I just crudely placed him by lattice and pulling points. What if I were to animate the dude though, should he just be part of the body? Any ideas on this? Thanks, Jens err... black image... stand by, we're having technical difficulties ...boink. The technical difficulties extend all the way to the top sadly..
anakin78z
ok, this one should work: (no idea how to remove the black one by the way)
michael
hmm...I can't remove it...maybe marc or jason can... as for the bag... depends on what it will be doing.... if it's just a bag that will hang at his side and do nothing then the lattice/point pulling will work fine if it needs to move around or be opened etc then I'd suggest using bones, they're easy to set up and control. you might want to just bind the strap to his torso and see how it looks when he moves - you might get lucky and find it works just fine.
