abvfx
I submitted what i thought was a bug today the other week. Im told this is the expected result and was wondering if you guys could help me out. Basically i want to use an opacity map to hide part of a sphere with SSS on. Slicing a bit off to reveal what is inside it. I need this workflow to create eyes. With SSS off it act how i would expect showing the box inside the sphere. With it on, the box appears washed out as if a layer of SSS is still present. I was told to adjust the SSS settings but i like the look of the rest of the sphere and just want the opacity map to cut off what i don't want with a nice blend. Here is the example file i submitted with gBWCheck.rat from the hip directory applied. Stalkerx777
Here is a quick fix, i just premultiply color by opacity, before surface model node. This should help, I've put sticky note there.More correct way is to multiply sss_color by opacity i think. sss_opacity_quickFix.hipnc
