H11 - gamma correction in viewport?

Simple answer: Yes

Complex answer: You need a graphics card capable of support shaders and framebuffer objects in order for this feature to work (basically, any OpenGL 2 or above hardware with up-to-date drivers). Only the beauty geometry and background image is affected - guides, handles, wireframes and other non-beauty items in the viewport are not corrected. You can also apply a LUT (1D, 3D, lin or log) as well.

You can find this in the display options, Viewport tab, or in the color correction bar in the 3D viewport. It's hidden by default, but it can be opened via the viewport label menu (ie [persp1]), "Correction Toolbar".
