dannyODF Posted November 2, 2010 Share Posted November 2, 2010 hey, I'm trying set a different start frame for my upres gas solver that is different from the original start frame. I lay down a smoke container and emit smoke from a sphere. I apply the upres solver. I render out 100 frames on the dop i/o node, then click the "load from disk" checkbox. Then I switch to the upres solver in the autodop switch sim mode node. From here, how would I set a new start frame so I dont have to do an upresed sim for the entire low res sim durration. Just setting the original smoke nodes start frame doesnt seem to work. also, on top of this, when I switch back to low res sim mode, the dop i/o will no longer read from file. It attempts to re simulate even though "load from disk" is checked. the dop i/o node has and `ifs` expression statement that should detect if the loadfromdisk is checked, but it doesnt seem to work. and im using houdini 10, if that matters any help is appreciated, thanks, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
