Tong Le
Hi there, I have been trying to create a stretchy gum effect which tears later. My initial idea is using a line with 3 points as a wire with pin constraints on the end points. But, I am a little confused how to handle the middle point to make the wire snap. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tong Le
zglynn
Maybe you could do 2 separate wires whose ends are constrained together. Add an attribute that looks up the length of the wires, and when the wires stretch beyond that length threshold that could trip the constraint to go inactive, causing the 2 wires snap apart. Just a thought. Might be a better way to do it though. Zach
Tong Le
Thanks for the suggestion, zach. Here are two very simple set ups I made but I am still having a problem breaking the wires. Do you have ideas on how to solve this problem? Thanks, Tong Le wireConstraint.hip wireConstraintGlueSolver.hip
Stalkerx777
Is that what you want? wireConstraint.hipnc
Tong Le
Is that what you want? Thanks, that is exactly what I want. I miss the last constraint which is use geo2 constain geo1.
zglynn
This is more what I had in mind. This way it is completely procedural and the only thing you have to change is how big the stretch threshold is.
