lucienfostier Posted December 15, 2010 Share Posted December 15, 2010 Hi everyone, this is my first post on odForce and i'm very glad i was introduced to this very high level houdini place of exchange. Here is my problem, i want to simulate a clothing piece let's say a cape onto a moving character. I face many challenges for me here, and i want to find some help. Here are the few topics that i need help about: -how do you set up a rest position, is it using the initial state file field in the DOP network parameter? -my cloth is way too unstable, always moving, i tried to use a RDB state node and multiply the vel by a spare parameter, which didn't work for me, but anyway i'd like to find a way to make it come to a rest a position, without any movement and then have the character to interact with it and bring movement again. Can i paint some attribute to have more rigidity on part of my mesh? So here is my first problems met in cloth solving in Houdini! Great package but this cloth tool i think need very high skill to be bent to one's will So anyway, can someone help me? would be very appreciated...
