converting metaball to poly

I ran in some issues with my metaballs. To have better control for the shading later (normals) and have better render times I decided to convert my

metaballs into polys. The problem I have also with different settings in the convert node I never habe the smoothness of my original metaball. There

are speckles all over the place on the surface.

Hope that someone can point me in the right direction.

Ikarus: I wasn't aware of the convert meta node so that do the trick but you need very high settings for a smooth and accurate result.

Do as Ikarus said or, with your original settings, add normals and smooth them .

You mean with a vertex SOP right?
