Ezz
Hi Houdini-Folks. I have a few questions about fluids in Houdini. I am trying to port my knowledge from Maya to Houdini, and in that process I have ran into a couple a things. 1) is there an option to control the Simulation Scale Rate, like in Maya ? 2) why will the fluids not display/render when I am turning of Emit Smoke from Fire in the Combustion options in the pyrosolver-node? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Erik
Mikal
Hi Erik.. 1) You can scale simulation time... at the top level of the dopnet there's a variable called 'Scale Time'. Unfortunately, as far as I know you can't key this value as you can in Maya. 2) I've noticed this issue on the Flames preset of the pyro-nodes. I think as there's only fuel emission in this setup... turning off the Emit Smoke from Fire results in an empty density field, and returns something odd in the shaders. If you delete (or don't import) the density field from the dopnet then the shaders will work. M
