pgrochola
Hi, I'm emitting some smoke using the source from point method. Can someone please explain how to get per point control over density emition? I used the shelf "source from point". I've tried adding pscale to my points.. no luck. Also tried ticking the "particle to field" option and had a density attribute on my particle. This results in a node warning saying it can't find the attribute..? What am I missing? I've attached a hip with the above example. Thanks very much. pointEmit.hip Edited January 17, 2011 by pgrochola
anim
it can't find it because geometry with display flag doesn't contain density attribute and since you are referencing Object and not exact SOP node, display sop is used so either set Display flag to density node, or connect density node to your stream between add and point nodes
pgrochola
strange...thought I had already tried that and it didn't work. Does now though! Thanks for checking it out. it can't find it because geometry with display flag doesn't contain density attribute and since you are referencing Object and not exact SOP node, display sop is used so either set Display flag to density node, or connect density node to your stream between add and point nodes
