zdooper_trooper
Hello. I was wondering if someone could help out on how to export an image from a paint SOP and feed it to a COP network. I am building an HDA where the user will paint on a grid, specifying some terrain information. I want to take that information in COP apply a VEX filter and add some voronoi noise into it. I tried using the import node in a COP network inside the grid object, however the import node does not include the paint information. Any help will be much appreciated. anim
i don't know what import node in COPs you have in mind but it's pretty straightforward in VOP COP2 Generator example file included sop_paint_to_cops.hipnc
Macha
Nice trick! Can we get the data from cops back into sop points? (I think Nick meant the geometry cop initially) Edited January 18, 2011 by Macha

zdooper_trooper
Thank you very much Tomas and Alex for your prompt reply. I am new to Houdini and I was unsure how to achieve this. I am actually trying to rewrite your vex cop generator but I am having a hard time at it... I edited the parameter interface and added the compiler tab. Still, I cannot dive in the node and create the vex network. I realize that this is a rookie question... Thank you again for your help. zdooper_trooper
Ignore my question. I realized I was working with the wrong node...
