hairnormal doesn't work in h11

Check out curve rendering optimisation parameter on an object:

from the journal:

Optimize micropolygon rendering of curves by shading only a single edge of points on the curve rather than both edges. Add an option, vm_curvesurface, to enable the old behavior that shades curves as surfaces.

It apparantly causes paramtetric "s" to be 0 across a hair, which means hair normal won't work also, as it relies on it to produce fake normals.

...well, at least it seamed to be like that last time I checked it.
