Skin problem

Hi

I'm bringing in some streamers via a dopImport node and piping them through a sweep and into a skin. All goes well until I get to the skin, where it seems to want to connect all points. In other words it won't allow the paths to remain open, but will try to connect all ends. I can't seem to find an option for them to stay open...

What could be causing that?

Connectivity sop and a foreach loop? If you don't have too many streamers that works.

Perhaps, another idea, if you can assign good uvs to them you should be able to taper the size to 0 towards the start and ends of each streamer. Then there should not be a need for a foreach. Or at least just for the curves themselves and thus be quicker.

What about the Skin Output option on the Sweep node itself?

Wonder what the skin node was doing?

Macha, thanks for the tip, still have to study those two nodes, so had no idea how to go about using them on this.

Hm, thinking about it, maybe I misunderstood your original question because I also used the sweep node. I think I solved a different problem. Nevermind, keeps me in shape ;)
