hopbin9
Hi, I have a scene that has some frames taking a long time to cook, then I think it should. Not very long, but a few seconds and I want to fix what is causing the lag. When I hit that frame, I can see at the bottom a long list of nodes that are cooking, but the list is cropped off on the right side so I can't see all of the nodes. Is there a way to open a log window or something that will list everything that Houdini is doing? Thanks,

sanostol
check out the performance monitor, You can find it under Windows>Performance Monitor or Alt+y a less accurate way is to enable Highlight Cooking Node in preferences Hi, I have a scene that has some frames taking a long time to cook, then I think it should. hopbin9
Thanks, That is an awesome tool! It turned out that my custom component that added bevel edges to objects was causing all the delay. I modified to just output the non-beveled version during displays, and it's all running smoothly now without any lag. I can animate in real-time again!
