Netvudu Posted May 18, 2011 Share Posted May 18, 2011 Hi, I wanted to test something along the lines of this nice effect created by Blur´s own Brandon Riza: Exploding Alien worm from MassEffect 2 So I decided to start slow and just "peel" some cloth patches from a sphere and see how it looked...but I´m already having lots of trouble! The cloth parts doesn´t fall naturally at all, and if I add the rest of the sphere to the mix the whole thing explodes horribly. Desafortunadamente el Cloth solver parece estar lleno de bugs, pude solucionar el tema de la explocion desplazando un poco el constraint para evitar interpenetracion, y soldando el ultimo punto en y de geo 1; Lo que parece no tiene arreglo y al parecer es un bug es el estrechamiento del punto cero en el parche de tela restringida. I still haven´t given up on this approach...one thing is accepting cloth solver isn´t the best stuff around for cloth, and a different thing it cannot be used at all.
