asnowcappedromance
hi guys, I have a sph fluids workflow question. There are 2 different particle fluid objects (sph) sitting in my scene, both connected to a merge node which is plugged into a particle fluid solver. In this solver I control the objects viscosity and elasticity. Now I want to get 2 different consistencies for the 2 fluid objects (one sticky fluid, one waterlike) and I have no clue how to achieve this. Already tried dopoption expression or setting up attributes with the popsolver and then a point expression (if statement) to seperate the values, but it only ever takes one value into account. So what's the way to do this, 2 different solvers? cheers, Manuel
Nik S
So what's the way to do this, 2 different solvers? I would take a stab at 2 different SPH fluids with 2 separate solvers, then plug them both into a multisolver node, There may be a cleaner way, but this seems the most straightforward to me. - N

What about substeps, do they all have to have the same values or how does it work?
asnowcappedromance
well I tried a couple of things here and seem to get nowhere I attached a file where I tried using a multiple solver as you suggested. Also put the 2 fluid objects into different groups to be able to address them. Thanks for the help, Manuel fluids_different_consistency.hipnc
pclaes
This is with flip, but might work for your needs too: And this is a hack that can also work:
