Kai87
Hello I am having problems with particles, I have particles emitting from a line (points random) and I am getting a annoying error where there is a gap between where it is being birthed, I have tried using oversampling but doesn't seem to be helping at all. Thanks
anim
do you have simple hip file with your problem? it's difficult to just guess what gap do you have in mind? between source point and actual birth position?
Kai87
Yes it is between the source and the birth I believe. Here is a simple file with the problem particle_problem.zip Edited August 29, 2011 by Kai87
anim
since there are some files missing needed to use your source geometry for particles, I've used some other animated turtle geo from your file so there can be difference here is modified file, just emision of exactly the same number of particles as there is points each timestep without any additional or inherited velocity, they seem to be generated exactly at points, and since the source geo is moving then they leave the snapshot of that geo n-times per frame where n is oversample value do you have in mind mind exactly those gaps? like you want the particles to be randomly generated inbetween frames with purely random time value? if so there is many threads here or in sidefx forums about that, like this or if your problem is elsewhere, please specify particle_problem_mod.zip

rafaelfs
Hello I basically just want a stream of particles moving from those curves, iv tried using the $NPT trick that you sent back and timeblending but still couldn't get the result Hi, I couldn't get your example to work as it's missing files (you could cook up the missing data in the file by using the lock button on the nodes, right?!), but based on your description, I was able to setup a scene using the $NPT and it worked just fine... suggestion: try to isolate the effect you're trying to create to it's bare minimum so that you know where the problem is. Sorry if I'm sounding too naive, I'm just trying to help and I don't have much info here to work with...
