AdrianLazar
Hi guys, I was wondering how can I group together pieces from a fracture object based on the collision? Or better based on when they break off... So basically I have a wall that was pre-fractured and get's hit by a ball. What I would like to do is for the objects that break off to serve as a source for smoke emission (actually is going to be dust) so I'm looking for a way to dynamically group together the pieces that start moving so the dust is emitted only from those. Many Thanks, Adrian
Rudinie
Take a look at the debris shelf tool, it emits particles from the fractures. The distance between the fractured pieces is used to decide which fractured edges or surfaces (your choice) are used to emit particles. You could instead of birth particles just have a look at the way the surfaces are selected for particle emission and group those off to use as a source for smoke.
