Erik_JE
It usually renders fine even with those errors. All it means is that the two objects merged don't have the same set of attributes which shouldn't affect the render too much. Hard to say more without a hip file. Are both objects that you merge polygon surfaces?

Erik_JE
You forgot to lock or include the tiff file that you use for tracing.
cdsign
You forgot to lock or include the tiff file that you use for tracing. i could not upload the trace file due to the file type is not allow in this forum. however ,its even turned black if I tried to merge it with defualt box SOP. i believed the problem must be somewhere in my machine hand part of my model. :/
Erik_JE
I figured it out with the Box. It was fairly simple. Just add a Facet SOP before the Merge and tick Pre-Compute normals and you are good to go. PS. You can lock a File node so that it's content is saved with the hip file. Then you don't need to upload it separately. DS
