michael
do you need to actually use the keys or do you just want the geometry animating without the sim?
flux
do you need to actually use the keys or do you just want the geometry animating without the sim? well i need keys on debris .. infact i want to export it to maya ...but i need keyframes on each debri .. currently i have exported it but every time it(houdini)exports vertex cache(vertex cache maya compatable) ...and it(Maya)imports all debris as one combined poly object with cache node attached. i tried to bake animation even by separating that objects in to independant pieces but it folows its history and i tried to bake it in to key frames..it does put key frames on all objects but as i detach the cache node from these pieces ....animation doesn't work .. i even tried to blendshape on copied object but it still doesn't work ..as transform of object dosent move but all vertices does .. as far as i figured it out it follows the vertices/shape not transform... and i need key frames on transform/object... anyway ..i still want to solve it in houdini...that whole Maya story is just to clear the point that i need key frames on object level/transform level ... i hope my question is clear now..
