jim c
I'd like to create an effect similar to the opening bit in Tron Legacy where a glowing "sphere" or point appears to follows some line art. It definitely needs to have 3D depth to it, so trying to do this in AE doesn't seem worth it. Given this, would it make the most sense to try and have particles that follow a path, or would it be easier to have a very small bit of geo that is then assign a path object at the Object level. If the perferred solution is to use particles, what's the best way to do this? I fooled around with getting a group of particles that sort of are attracted to a path but found it hard to control and wasn't sure if there's a better way to do this so that it (one or more particles) precisely follow the path. jim c
Yeah, that's similar to something I whipped up tonight. Can you check out the hip at and see if what I did to reveal the cruev makes sense? I used a Creep SOP instead of a Carve - is the carve better to use? edward
I don't think it matters as long as it's doing what you need.
