Macha
what could affect the sim differently if I use sub steps that I have in AutoDopNetwork object mode node or smoke/pyro solver's min/max sub-step value? If you increase substepping on the pyrosolver then microsolvers embedded in the network may or may not substep. So that will only affect what is happening in your particular node. These are things such as the calculation of advection and gascalculate, I guess. If you increase the substeps on the dops scene node then everything contained within it will substep a set number of times. That may include other solvers and nodes that you have in your dopnet. In general I would think that substepping the whole node will give more accurate results, but at the expense of simulation time. Substepping particular nodes on the other hand gives you more freedom to optimize crucial nodes. Edited November 8, 2011 by Macha
