nord3d
I'm sorry if such simple thing is already exist, but I have not find something like it on Houdini Exchange, so I made this tool. As I think, it can be useful as an edges per point monitor for poly-modeling organic forms, something like creature head or body. Although I have uploaded sample scene and preview image on Houdini Exchange, they are somehow not appear. So, I post it here. Asset: http://www.sidefx.com/exchange/info.php?fileid=904&versionid=904 (link updated to v009) Sample scene: TopoTestTool01-09.hipnc *in this picture, the "topotest" sop applied only to right half of model, by selecting points and call the asset from viewport. Note: By the term "Inline Points" I mean points with less then three edges connected; Points with 1 edge sometimes interprets like Boundary (open edge). nord3d
Update: added a polygon vertex count test for non-quad polygons. Colorization now is on vertex level, instead of point. PS: Internal names is a mess, I'm sorry. But have no time now, I going to fix it later. Edited March 2, 2012 by nord3d

nord3d
Thanks for the nice comments! Now, I submit the new update (v009, link in the first post), just fix a small bug. Also, I have tested the tool in Houdini 12, works well, as I can see. Improved scene with all kinds of testing items: TopoTestTool03(H11).hipnc Edited March 2, 2012 by nord3d
