Jostein
Hi guys! Newbie Jostein here again .. I am about to create the patterned soles of this shoe .. (using a cookie SOP) - how do I "wrap" or bend my boxes to fit the outline of my shoe in order to create a convincing sole? Thanks guys! anakin78z
Hey, You may be able to do it using the creep pop... but I think the easiest way would be to quickly draw some curves of the sole in the bottom view, ray them onto the shoe, then extrude them. That way you can make a cool form fitting pattern without having to worry about making something else fit. Just my 2 cents. -Jz
deecue
if youre wanting to just manipulate that already created grid obj in to the shape of the bottom of the shoe, i would use a lattice to push and pull it in to place. if i were to go about doing it though, i would possibly use a displacement map on the sole of the shoe from a grid like bitmap. i think this will reveal the quickest results. if not, just edit the bottom and pull poly's. dave
