jim c
Apparently Houdini hates me today. I'm trying to bake a texture. I have in the past been able to get this to work by customizing the Mantra ROP's command property to read mantra -u /obj/mygeo assuming the geo at /obj/mygeo has uv coords. Today, in H12, this no longer works at all. This includes trying to use the "UV Render Object" parameter under the "Render" tab in the ROP. Any ideas what might be causing the problem? The UV's look good, however even if I generate them using the UVUnwrap SOP I just get the view from the camera.
jim c
Sigh, I think I'm just going to walk away for the day... Note to self, remember to turn *OFF* render Polygons as Subd!
jim c
Note 2: don't turn on displacement unless you make sure that the "True Displacements" property is turned OFF!
Annon
We were having issues with doing mantra -u on the farm, so we created a quick setup to move the points into the uv coordinates in world space and render from an orthographic camera. Probably a bit overkill if have managed to get mantra -u working for you, but it works if you ever hit that problem again.
