Macha
I always have this problem that volumes piped into a ramp don't respond linearly to your changes. It is very hard to get a good smooth blend between a visual 0 and 1 density. Now, I noticed that in H12 we have log vex nodes, and even a log parameter type. I think it's just the thing I need! Does anybody know the proper way to set this up? I tried: density -> exp -> ramp -> log and similar variations but no luck. What is the correct way to do this? Edit: density -> negate -> exp -> ramp works better for manipulating low density areas but still fiddly Edit edit: Uhuh! I found it!! Brilliant!! ramp -> negate -> power (reverse inputs and use $E) -> complement Edited July 20, 2012 by Macha
