lijunhong
Hi I tried to add with "volume" a addvel, and then use a CurlNoise "volume Velocity", and then the "volume vop" "Volume Sample" File to calculate the addvel the XYZ used to dop "sop vector Field" to import my addvel, then OF "Gas Calculate" vel and addvel . I tested many times have failed Hope everyone give me some advice! Thanks see this video vel.hip Edited June 27, 2012 by lijunhong

Peter Quint
No one answered I've not checked your file, but you may find the pump shelf tool can achieve much of what you want to do here. You can add curl noise velocity quite easily by this method. See https://vimeo.com/38287079 and the other two videos in the series.
efx
Hello, I'm not sure this is what you want to do. But check the attached scene pls. Cheers vel_fix.hipnc

gramx
Has anyone got this working on a boat hull or any shape rather than a box? I have tried using the pump tool which only seems to add velocities from the bounding box of an object. I have also tried the vel_fix.hipnc but get the same problem, if you change the shape of the boat from a box it doesnt work from the correct volume. I have attached an example of the problem using a torus and a linear velocity:- http://forums.odforce.net/index.php?/topic/17837-flip-pump-from-object-volume/ It works really nice with the curl noise but I need to limit the effect to a volume shape much like how Nutlet has done it (see top post) It would be great to get this working!
